Following the success of events in Melbourne and Brisbane, Sugar Republic has landed in Sydney. The exhibition involves an array of brightly coloured, lolly-themed installations and activities that are, in part, designed to be photographed and uploaded to Instagram. As well as adding some colour to your feed, Sugar Republic aims to create an exhibition where the art is interactive and inclusive.
The Sydney iteration includes many favourites from past exhibitions, such as rainbow rooms, neon art, an oversized ball pit and Charlie's Chocolate Factory, but with "extra sugar". There will also be plenty of sweet treats along the way.
Your ticket provides entry for an hour, and you can arrive up to 15 minutes either side of your allotted entry time. The event runs every day except Wednesdays and opens at 10am. Last entries are at 6pm from Saturday to Tuesday, and 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Last entry for under18s is at 6pm every night, with two "late-night sessions" every week reserved for the bigger kids (sorry, no alcohol).
