Longing to learn the moves of Britney Spears? Ever wanted to impress your mates by busting out the smooth grooves of John Travolta and Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction's iconic dance sequence? For the rest of January, Surry Hills bar The Soda Factory is hosting daily dance classes, with trained tutors teaching a different dance routine – from famous movies to music videos.
On January 22 punters will learn to cut a rug like Kevin Bacon in Footloose, while on January 26 you can channel your inner Sandy with a Grease dance sequence. And on January 28 it's all about the exactingly choreographed routines of Britney. There's also the chance to learn the legendary Jamiroquai-soundtracked dance sequence from Napoleon Dynamite and do the Time Warp.
Tickets include a post-class drink, and all proceeds go to mental-health organisation Beyond Blue. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, dancing is only permitted during the class.
