Here’s to another decade of free peanuts, rye whisky and honky-tonk.
When Shady Pines Saloon opened in Darlinghurst in 2010, it set out to be a great watering hole. But it ended up part of a new wave of bars redefining Sydney’s cocktail and booze scene.
That only grew stronger when its sibling bar The Baxter Inn and Bulletin Place opened in 2012.
The team behind Shady Pines, which also owns Alberto’s Lounge
and Frankie’s Pizza, is celebrating 10 years of the classic dive bar with a huge party on March 1. There’ll be live honky-tonk all night by SJR, Extension Chord and Cruisin’ Deuces.
At happy hour (from 4pm to 6pm), there'll be $5 beer and wine, plus $10 Margaritas and Negronis.
From 4pm to late.
