Merivale, the hospitality giant with more than 70 venues, is hosting free gigs over winter at three of its venues.
See Sound first launched this past summer and is now back to warm up your winters with live tunes and drink specials.
At Coogee Pavilion the rooftop will host funk, soul and disco on Sundays. Highlights include five-man disco act Total Giovanni doing a DJ set on July 21, and artists from recording labels Reptile Dysfunction and Hot Sunday Records performing with secret guests on August 18.
In Marrickville, dog-friendly pub The Vic on the Park will host locals from the inner west and international acts across genres, from rock'n'roll and indie to hip-hop and psychedelia, every Friday and Saturday. On July 27 there’s an afternoon dedicated to funk and soul.
And in Bondi, century-old The Royal is presenting shows curated by Daniel Stricker (Siberia Records, Midnight Juggernauts) and Julian Sudek (World Champion). The August 17 show involves Kirin J Callinan, Honey Hayze, DJ Pav, and special international guests.
During the live music weekends all three venues are serving $8 pints and $15 jugs of Furphy tap beer.
