The author and academic will explore how art can be used as a "weapon against weapons".

Former theologian Sarah Sentilles went from professor to passionate advocate for peace and principle, and will explore the role of art in fighting back against violence when she appears at The School of Life in July.

In her most recent non-fiction work Draw Your Weapons, Sentilles meditates on art and war, posing the question: "What difference can one person make in this beautiful, imperfect, and imperilled world?"

The same question will form the basis for an evening of conversation, where Sentilles will discuss the sometimes difficult task of being human, and the transformative power of art.

Sarah Sentilles on Art as a Weapon will take place at The School of Life in Sydney on Tuesday July 31. Doors open at 6.30pm. More information here.
