Raw Mango Trunk Show

Every fashion week, a handful of names generate real buzz. Last month, one of them was Indian label Raw Mango’s official London Fashion Week debut. Founded by Sanjay Garg in 2008, the luxury brand reinterprets centuries-old Indian textile techniques through sharp, minimalist silhouettes.

For the first time, Garg is bringing his collection to Australia with pop-ups in Sydney and Melbourne. 

Head to Strand Arcade’s Fairfax & Roberts store for a three-day trunk show featuring a curated selection of classic Raw Mango designs. There’ll be silk saris and other ready-to-wear pieces featuring intricate Indian craftsmanship by artisans across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Varanasi.

There’ll also be select jewellery from Fairfax & Roberts on display, as well as newly commissioned paintings by Sydney-based artist Kirthana Selvaraj – all available to buy.

On March 23 at the Australian Museum, Garg will sit down with Inprint magazine editor (and former editor of Vogue India) Megha Kapoor to talk about the rich culture and tradition behind Indian textiles. (Tickets for this event have already sold out.)
