Two of Sydney’s standout Japanese dining institutions come together for an exclusive five-course dinner this June.

Two of Sydney’s iconic Japanese dining institutions are teaming up for one night of unmissable flavours. On June 15, Surry Hills izakaya Goryon San will host fellow local Raita Noda, chef-owner of the highly regarded 12-seat omakase counter R by Raita Noda, for Asahi Super Dry’s One Night Only.   

This one-off collaboration sees Noda bring his fine-dining expertise to the only Australian outpost of the Tokyo-famous yakitori bar, creating a five-course menu that celebrates the best of Japanese dining culture. Expect inventive takes on favourites like flame-grilled kushiyaki skewers and ramen, designed to transport you straight to a bustling Tokyo izakaya.

Perfect for winter dining, the experience begins with a saké-based drink on arrival, before on-tap Asahi Super Dry carries you through an evening of flavour-packed plates and expertly paired pours.

With just 80 seats available across two sittings at 5:30pm and 8.30pm, this is a strictly limited event. Tickets are $150 per person and available via Humanitix. Book your table before it sells out.
