Between them, these three chefs have cooked at 10 William St, Alberto’s Lounge, Fratelli Paradiso and Fabbrica. Expect an Italian feast of mussels and vongole on crostini, spaghettoni in anchovy salsa and more, plus a welcome spritz.

The next edition of CBD bar PS40’s excellent Takeover Tuesday series sees three Italian chefs whip up a culinary gondola ride through the canals of Venice. Enrico Tomelleri (ex-10 William St and Alberto’s Lounge), Andrea Cappellaro (Fratelli Paradiso) and Davide Bellucco (new pasta darling Fabbrica) are taking over the kitchen for two nights.

For $65, diners will get a set menu of five snacks, plus a spritz on arrival. Expect dishes such as Venetian crostini with mussels and vongole; whipped salted cod and prosciutto; cuttlefish with black ink and white polenta; pumpkin and radicchio “in saor” (marinated in vinegar and onions); and spaghettoni with anchovy salsa.

The takeover runs on May 4 and 11, with seatings at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.
