Carriageworks

245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh

South Korea’s first lady of dance (and fashion) is coming back for the fourth time in five years – and this is her only Sydney show.

At this point we should just feel flattered. Peggy Gou, one of the world’s most in-demand DJs, is headed back to Australia a little more than a year after touring the east coast. Before that, she played Wildlands and Beyond The Valley in 2023 and Falls Festival in 2022. Maybe she just likes us?

Last time she was here, the Berlin-based South Korean cool girl was still riding the wave of her 2023 hit (It Goes Like) Nanana and her newer debut album, I Hear You. While those particular moments are behind us, expect her to blow the roof off Carriageworks regardless.

In 2024 we saw her established style – spangled house with the occasional dip into harder-edged techno – augmented with more eclectic oddities and retro throwbacks, like the Bayside Boys remix of Macarena. After six or more years controlling the biggest dancefloors the world has to offer – and 10 more years DJing before that – it’s clear the 34-year-old is growing into her superstardom.

Pre-sale begins at 12pm on October 13. General tickets are on sale from 12pm on October 14.
