Ben Lee and Sarah McLeod headline the first-ever North Sydney Festival – a free, all-ages fest spread over four zones in the north.

Comedian Jennifer Wong and Aria Award-winners Sarah McLeod and Ben Lee are some of the top talent appearing at this one-day festival – which is being thrown in celebration of the recent developments in the area, including the new Sydney Metro Victoria Cross Station.

Running from 11am to 5pm on November 2, the North Sydney Festival includes music, art and entertainment stages in four separate zones. Mount Street, Denison Street, Brett Whiteley Place and Elizabeth Plaza will be closed off and transformed into entertainment hubs for the day.

There’ll be toddler-friendly performances by Small Fry Rock, who put on shows designed for parents and kids, with special guests Lee and McLeod. Studio A artist Thom Roberts will be sharing his train-themed works. The Mary’s team is curating one of the music stages with artists STUMPS, Sesame Girl, Jet City Sports Club and The Toothpicks on the bill.

Plus, there’ll be creative workshops and talks with an appearance by author Kristen Darrell, a Kids Creative Zone, entertainment from Sydney Street Choir, Shaun Parker and Company, and aerial duo Up, Up and Away.
