New Year’s Eve at MCA

Let’s be real – the New Year’s Eve fireworks are incredible, but the crowds in Circular Quay can be a big turn-off. The cultural institution is hosting two premium NYE experiences from the ultimate vantage point, sans Quay chaos, to help you ring in 2026 in style.

The first is an elegant dinner at MCA’s fine-dining restaurant, Canvas. Head to the fourth floor for a six-course degustation starring the best Aussie produce, with highlights like Western Australian marron with finger lime and beurre blanc; Wagyu beef Wellington with native thyme jus; and panna cotta with passionfruit granita and tarragon.

To complete this luxe experience, dishes will be matched with premium wines and a cocktail on arrival. Plus, a live DJ will provide the perfect soundtrack for the night. This ticket is hot –there are only 80 on offer. Packages start at $1200, with three different pricing tiers available.

But if you really want to dial up the energy, head to level six for a rooftop party with food, drinks and music to keep you going all night long. Starting at $950, the ticket includes an impressive spread of canapes, plus seafood, sushi and grill stations, along with dessert and supper. Club Sol Trio and DJ Kyle will bring the tunes to keep the energy high as you count down to midnight.
