Negroni Fountains at the QT
QT Hotel’s Gowings Bar & Grill is launching its spring cocktail menu with a Negroni fountain, which is perfect for sharing with friends. The cocktail is made from Bulldog Gin, Cinzano 1757 Rosso Vermouth, Campari and a hint of Braulio Amaro (an Italian herbal liqueur), then delivered to your table in a 19th-century-style vessel.
As with many classic cocktails, the origins of the Negroni are unknown, but it was reportedly first mixed for French general Pascal-Olivier de Negroni in Italy in 1919. It’s simply an Americano (Campari and vermouth) with added gin and an orange-peel garnish. The hotel claims to have sold more than 6000 Negronis in its Sydney location alone.
The spring cocktail menu also includes a vodka-based Apple Martini and the wonderfully named Dirty Dick’s Fruit Disco (a shaken cocktail featuring Four Pillars Navy Strength gin, Midori, house-made matcha syrup, citrus and egg white).
The QT Hotel spring cocktail menu is available now at Gowings Bar & Grill.
