The Music Of John Williams – Episode II With Art of the Score & The Sydney Symphony

Even if you don’t know the name, you definitely know the music. John Williams has soundtracked some of the world’s favourite movies: he wrote the scores for film franchises like Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter.

In February next year, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be playing these scores live in concert at the ICC Sydney Theatre for a single night, following on from their sold-out five-show run of Williams’ scores at the Sydney Opera House in 2024.

This second edition will be presented by film score podcasters Art of the Score, who will provide a deep dive into these classic pieces.

Nicholas Buc will be conducting the Sydney Symphony Orchestra through William’s musical universe and back catalogue.

Expect numbers from Superman, Lost in Space, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Schindler’s List, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial and more.
