Mr Black Espresso Martini Festival
Craft coffee-liqueur maker Mr Black is bringing its booze to the streets, converting a vintage Airstream caravan into a roaming Espresso Martini bar. For the next six months it’ll be travelling the length and breadth of Australia, serving creative cocktail concoctions to the masses.
The first stop will be Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where the bar will pop up at Mona Vale’s Park House (from December 6 to 8) for the three-day Espresso Martini Festival. After that it’ll stop by Marrickville's Factory Theatre (from February 7 to 9), then it’s off to share the buzz with neighbouring states.
While Espresso Martini traditionalists will be satisfied by the festival offerings, the Mr Black team has also conceived a few new cocktails to add the list. There’s the Salted Caramello – a boozy riff on the classic kids’ chocolate; Coffee Cherry Cola; Frozen Espresso "Martikis"; plus coffee Negronis and coffee spritzes.
The event will also feature live music, a taco truck, woodfired pizza and Espresso Martini gelato from Mr Goaty. While it's free to enter if you RSVP, you can purchase a VIP ticket that includes your first drink free and an Espresso Martini-making workshop.
From 2pm until late.
