Mould: A Cheese Festival
Grate news. After selling out every session last year, Mould: A Cheese Festival is back for another round. Organisers, Revel (the group behind wine event Pinot Palooza and Nick Haddow (Bruny Island Cheese Co), say that this will be the festival’s biggest-ever iteration, with more cheese, more producers and more sessions than previous years.
Though the full line-up is yet to be announced, there’ll be fromage from across the country at Carriageworks for two days of cheesy goodness. In past years Mould has featured big-cheese producers such as Yarra Valley Dairy, Grandvewe, Section 28, Shaw River, Tolpuddle and Tongola. Expect tastings, conversations and demonstrations, as well as cheese-focussed dishes from a range of local cheesemongers.
It’s not all about the fromage, though – a bar stocked with wines, whisky, sake, beer and cider will help you wash down your washed rind. Plus, Dairy Australia will be hosting a series of classes during each session.
Sessions run on Friday May 22 from 4.30pm to 8.30pm and Saturday May 23 from 11am to 3pm and 4pm to 8pm. Early bird tickets are now on sale here.
