"Mirrored" at the Australian Centre for Photography
Elif Suyabatmaz (from Turkey) and Markus Andersen (from Australia) have joined forces in a body of work that is exhibiting at the Australian Centre for Photography entitled, Mirrored.
Currently exhibiting as part of the ACP’s Emerging Artist Program, the duo has collaborated from afar, in a photographic dialogue that encompasses documentary and street photography of the cities of Sydney and Istanbul.
Their marriage and shared instinct for street photography has resulted in an exhibition of "mirrored" visions and contrasts; black and white, humour and darkness, people and city landscapes, Istanbul and Sydney.
The exhibition is made even more poignant with this year being the centenary of the landing a Gallipoli and strengthened international ties between Turkey and Australia.
