Melbourne Cup Comes to Rockpool
The Melbourne Cup might only be on for one brief moment in the afternoon of the first Tuesday in November, but it’s become a national signifier for much more than a race. Namely – an occasion to pause and celebrate with friends over fine food and drink.
On November 5, the Rockpool Dining Group is celebrating this moment with a suite of race day specials at their many venues across the country.
At the award-winning contemporary Japanese restaurant Saké Restaurant and Bar located at The Rocks, you can feast on a seven-course banquet menu with a glass of Veuve Clicquot ($129 per person). An optional two-hour beverage package – including Veuve Clicquot, Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc and pinot noir, and Sapporo beer – is available for an additional $89 per person.
At both Saké’s Double Bay and Manly locations, a six-course Japanese banquet menu and glass of Veuve Clicquot will be available for $129 per person (the optional two-hour beverage package for $89pp is also available).
At Rosetta Trattoria, the group’s seafood-leaning Italian marquee venue in Sydney’s CBD, you can enjoy race day with a three-course menu and glass of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial for $110 per person. And nearby at the opulent, green-marbled Rockpool Bar and Grill, there’s a three-course lunch menu with a glass of Ruinart champagne for $150 per person – or you can opt for dishes from the extensive à la carte menu.
Throughout all seven Fratelli Fresh locations across Sydney, guests can feast on a four-course share-style menu featuring Italian favourites of antipasti, pasta, salads, plus a three-hour beverage package for $79 per person.
There are more race-day specials available at a range of Rockpool venues across the country – more details and bookings here.
