Still the world’s 11th best bar and still dreaming up luxe cocktails, Maybe Sammy has teamed up with Glenfiddich to create The Grand Cru – with the world’s most awarded single malt as its chief ingredient.
Dreamed up by Maybe Sammy’s bar wizard Paolo Maffietti, it combines Glenfiddich Grand Cru 23 with vetiver muju, cochi Americano, frankincense and mandarin syrup plus two drops of gold oil to garnish.
It’s designed to be the ultimate celebration cocktail, but if you can’t immediately think of anything to celebrate, we could recommend the following: The fact that the Grand Cru is served in handmade Japanese glassware from Kimura; if you’re one of the first 100 people to order (get in there on November 4) you’ll officially be part of the Grand Cru crew and will receive a Maybe Sammy golden flamingo keyring; whenever you return to Maybe Sammy, order a Grand Cru and flash that keyring, you’ll receive a complimentary half-dozen oysters or a glass of Champagne.
The Grand Cru is available from November 4 until the universe implodes or the ingredients run out – whichever happens first.
