Looking for a relaxed way to wind down your week – or kickstart the weekend? This August and September, Chiswick and Never Never Gin Co have got you sorted.

Woollahra mainstay Chiswick is giving your weeknights a sophisticated upgrade this August and September with Martini Thursdays – an eight-week celebration of classic cocktails and creative canapés.

From 5.30pm every Thursday between August 7 and September 25, the garden-style restaurant partners with award-winning gin producer Never Never Distilling Co to offer a curated menu of Martinis, available in both standard ($20) and mini ($10) pours.

The line-up caters for both Martini purists and the more adventurous: try the citrusy TJ Martini with Never Never’s London dry-style Triple Juniper Gin, or the umami-rich Pacific Martini made with Oyster Shell Gin, kombu vinegar and lemon oil. And if Martinis aren’t really your thing, try the Gibson – a dry, fragrant number with Junmai saké, saltbush and a pickled onion garnish.

Pair your drink with seasonal snacks by Chiswick’s new head chef, Samuel Rozsnyoi, including wood-roasted Pacific oysters with curry butter, or tempura snapper with labneh and chives – with optional upgrades like Siberian caviar or salmon roe for a luxe finish.
