Pier One Winter Igloos
Pier One’s popular igloos have returned, this time with help from social-media darling Tara Whiteman (aka Tara Milk Tea). She’s put together an all-white wonderland with plush furnishings; fluffy, snowball-like footstools; and fairy lights inside a cherry blossom-inspired dome.
Order canapés straight to your igloo. The menu includes Fraser Island spanner crab on avocado toast topped with horseradish cream and trout roe, and a roasted sweet potato with avocado and kiss peppers. Grazing boards come with a selection of olives, cured meats, cheese, dips and bread, while the bite-sized desserts on offer include miniature French baked goods.
Gather 10 hungry friends and rug up in your hired igloo with a private chef, who’ll cook up a warming barbeque feast with Skull Island prawns, lamb-shoulder skewers or pickled cucumber salad straight off the grill.
Canned cocktails by Curatif include a Negroni with gin from South Australia’s Never Never Distilling Co and a Mai Tai from Jacoby’s Tiki Bar, plus Margaritas, Bloody Marys and Espresso Martinis. Wine is available by the bottle and beer buckets can be purchased with Corona, Lord Nelson pale ale and Sydney Beer Co brews.
Bookings are essential and deposits will be taken. Each booking has a hire fee and minimum spend for food and drinks.
