Köket Cafe Picnic Packs
Paddington’s Funkis store has a cute cafe out back called Köket, which in normal times is a peaceful place for a coffee and a danish on a weekend morning.
Now that Sydney’s lockdown restrictions are slowly easing, and picnicking with (fully vaccinated) friends is back on the cards, Köket is offering takeaway picnic packs catering for two, four or five people ($49 to $99).
Each one is packed with Scandi-inspired treats, such as cinnamon and vanilla buns, or a pot of smoked salmon and ciabatta for skagen in the park. There’s also crispy prosciutto salad with avocado and egg; sparkling sodas from Strangelove; sustainably fished tuna on ciabatta; and raspberry danishes.
You can order the packs online and select a two-hour pick-up window for collection. The online store also has loaves of sourdough, pickled veg, canned sardines in olive oil, and other pantry items if you are planning a day of grazing.
Order online before 3pm for next-day collection.
