James Erskine was at the forefront of the lo-fi-wine movement in Australia. He was part of the industry-shifting winemaking collective Natural Selection Theory, which was established a decade ago. It involved fellow SA guys Anton van Klopper (Lucy Margaux Wines) and Tom Shobbrook (Shobbrook Wines), and Sydney’s Sam Hughes.
Ten years on, natural wine has stormed into the mainstream. And Erskine remains one of the country’s most accomplished producers.
He's at P&V Wine & Liquor Merchants for an intimate masterclass on Monday August 26.
You'll taste up to 10 Jauma wines. And while there will be new-release drops, others will be pulled out of the cellar especially for this event – some that were bottled with preservatives, others that weren’t. Erskine will guide the tasting as you compare them side-by-side, with light snacks in-between.
There are only 20 seats so booking is essential.
From 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
