Two of Sydney's leading purveyors of natural wine are throwing a party on the June long weekend, Joel Amos of online booze retailer Drnks, and Icebergs sommelier and co-founder of the legendary and influential Rootstock Sydney Festival, James Hird. It'll bring together the producers, growers and importers of some of the best natural wine from Australia and abroad, as well as the artisans behind rare spirits, craft beer and sake.
Just like Rootstock and Amos's other events, Wet Dreams, Mental Notes and Loose Lips, it's all about creating a community of like-minded people who have an appreciation of drinks made with minimal intervention.
It'll be held at Maurice Terzini's Icebergs Dining Room and Bar in Bondi, with two sessions (11am to 2pm and 3.30pm to 6.30pm). Over those three hours you'll be able to taste lots of delicious things and chat to the markers, as well as order snacks, listen to DJs and buy bottles to take home. At 6.30pm, Icebergs Bar opens to the public so punters can kick on.
Tickets are limited, $65 (plus booking fee) and available here.
