Golden Age Cinema, inside the art deco Paramount House, is one of the more glamorous places in town to see a film.
Throughout February it's screening summery films on Wednesday nights. Each week’s picks adhere to a different theme – School’s Out, Star-Crossed Lovers, Street Heat or Wild West – and will be paired with a Four Pillars cocktail.
For Street Heat on February 19, catch Alfred Hitchcock’s voyeuristic thriller Rear Window (1954) and Spike Lee’s iconic Do the Right Thing (1989), set in Brooklyn on the hottest day of the year. Cool off with a G&T made with Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin.
The theme on February 26 is Wild West. Head to the desert in Michelangelo Antonioni’s eye-popping (and rarely screened) Zabriskie Point (1970), or navigate the ’70s adult-movie scene in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Nights (1997). The matched cocktail will be a Spicy Ginger Mule made with Four Pillars Navy Strength Gin.
