Some of Sydney’s best chefs have rallied together with their employer, the Fink Group, to create Harvest Bites, a delivery service for restaurant-quality meals. Not only will customers receive a top-notch, winter-friendly meal they can eat in their PJs, they’ll also be helping vulnerable Australians: for every order, at least 40 meals will be delivered to those in need by food-rescue service Ozharvest.
On June 1, Firedoor’s Lennox Hastie and his team will be prepping smoked ham hock, vegetable broth and barley soup, with a pear and almond cake for dessert. On June 8, Bennelong head chef Rob Cockerill will serve up coq au vin with potato puree, and a raspberry Swiss roll. And on June 15, Quay’s Peter Gilmore will make a pork and veal lasagna with a crisp green salad, plus tiramisu – a great opportunity to enjoy a meal from one of the country’s most respected chefs without blowing your budget.
Meals for two are $58 and family meals (four people) are $100 (there’s an optional bread add-on for $10). Delivery is free. Order before 2pm each Thursday for delivery the following Monday.
