The Chinese-Australian artist is known for his humorous, political art, and his second solo show is now at MCA.

A bright, bold new exhibition by Chinese-Australian artist Guan Wei is now open at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA).

The free retrospective features four significant works from the museum's collection, including Feng Shui (2004), which was originally commissioned for Melbourne’s Bureau of Meteorology building. The sprawling, oceanic five-metre-high artwork is comprised of 120 panels and measures 18 metres in length.

It sits alongside four decades of Wei's often humorous paintings, animations and prints interrogating contemporary Australian and Chinese social life and politics.

Open Thursday to Tuesday 10am to 5pm and Wednesdays 10am to 9pm.
