Glenfiddich Valley of the Deer Disco at Australian Fashion Week

Scottish whisky brand Glenfiddich is partnering with top cocktail bar Maybe Sammy during Australian Fashion Week to launch the Glenfiddich Valley of the Deer Disco, a pop-up bar in a neon-lit train carriage at the Carriageworks Blacksmith’s Workshop.

The pop-up will be pouring a special menu of Glenfiddich-based cocktails designed by the award-winning Maybe Sammy team, as well as a selection of Glenfiddich whiskies. The full limited-edition menu will also be available at Maybe Sammy for the duration of fashion week if you can’t make it to Carriageworks.

The cocktail selection includes the Golden Valley, a $110 concoction of Glenfiddich 23 Year Old Grand Cru, verjuice, mandarin, vetiver, Cocchi Americano and Empirical Spirits Fallen Pony. It’s served alongside a golden key ring – show your key ring at Maybe Sammy during May and you’ll get a half a dozen complimentary oysters with any Glenfiddich drinks you order from their menu.

Other cocktails include the Pearfection (Glenfiddich 12 Year Old, truffle honey, bergamot, pear, truffle thyme soda) and the Runway Royal (Glenfiddich 14 Year Old, pear, dark cacao, jasmine, almond milk). Soundtracking the venue will be tunes by DJs such as Eve Speciall and Charlie Villas.

To celebrate fashion week, Glenfiddich will also host The Talks, a series of panel discussions with fashion industry leaders. On the roster are talks such as Go West: The Rise of Western Sydney Culture and Made For Music with the likes of designers Chris Potirakis and Alix Higgins, stylist Jana Bartolo and Indigenous model Elaine George.

The pop-up bar is open to the public, and no tickets are required. The Talks series is ticketed; tickets include a free cocktail.
