Some of Melbourne's best bartenders are in Sydney for a one-off event at Ramblin’ Rascal.

Earlier this year Matt Stirling of the highly regarded Melbourne bar Black Pearl and Chris Hystead of The Attic, also down south, decided to quit their jobs and set up their own bar, Fancy Free. Ryan Noreiks of Romeo Lane and Rob Libecans also got on board.

In anticipation of its Melbourne opening, Fancy Free is touring Australia and Asia with a series of themed pop-ups, and will be in Sydney this Sunday at Ramblin’ Rascal Tavern where they will host an Australian-inspired event, Quiz dú Pub.

It will “consist of off-kilter topics and alternative activities that are purely pointed at having a bit of fun and a laugh,” says Fancy Free co-founder Stirling.

Get a group of up to eight people and sign-up via email or through the Fancy Free's website. Entry is $50 and the winning team walks away with $400 (spectators are welcome on the night.)

Competitors will be armed with a complimentary drink by Fancy Free on arrival and food is available from nearby Mary's CBD.

Fancy Free will host Quiz dú Pub at Ramblin’ Rascal Tavern from 5pm on Sunday July 15.
