Every Body Dance Now
The forecourt of the Sydney Opera House is turning into a giant dance hall this March, when world-class dancers, choreographers and dance instructors take charge of its outdoor dance series.
Expect different levels, age groups and styles of dancing, from jazz and contemporary to Latin and street. They're happening every Tuesday, with two classes to choose from each week.
First up on March 9: a hybrid class of hip-hop, jazz, funk and contemporary, as well as a standalone contemporary class. Learn to whip and nae-nae at a hip hop class, then get jazzy after on March 16. March 23 sees the return of contemporary, followed by a hip-shaking mix of rumba, samba and salsa at a Latin dance class. Finally, the March 30 program starts with a Move & Groove practice designed for all levels and ages, with a no-holds-barred dance party at dusk to close out the month.
All classes are free, but registration is essential. Tickets go out at 9am on Wednesday February 17.
