Ashfield's Polish Club is holding a European-style Christmas market, with 25 stalls stocked with ceramics, homewares, jewellery and traditional Polish eats.
It's an indoors family-friendly event, where the drawcard is the food. Stalls will be peddling traditional Polish dishes such as pierogi (dumplings), placzki (potato pancakes) and Polish hot dogs.
Australians may not get a white Christmas, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like an icy shot of vodka to warm the soul. Head over to the pop-up Zubrowska stall for an icy shot of the herb-flavoured vodka; chase it with a crisp apple slice as tradition recommends.
For the kids, there's face painting, environmentally friendly balloon animals, and craft activities to keep them entertained.
The market is held inside a registered club. Bring your ID to sign in.
Free entry. From 9am to 2pm.
