Dinner Stargazing in the Blue Mountains

Thu 17th June, 2021
Secret Creek Cafe
35 Crane Road, Lithgow
Price: $135
Feast on a vegan spread of local produce, learn about the stars and constellations from an astrophysicist and listen to live music under the stars.

If you missed out on last month's wine-tasting and stargazing tour in the Blue Mountains, fear not – the mountains haven't moved, the stars are still in the sky, and the team is hosting another event that brings together food and astronomy.

This time it's dinner in a rustic cabin restaurant nestled within a 200-acre native wildlife sanctuary. Astrophysicist Dr Dimitri Douchin will guide guests through an hour-long stargazing experience through his telescope, share tips on naked-eye astronomy and navigation, and tell tales of the constellations overhead.

Secret Creek Cafe head chef Tenille Evans is serving a vegan feast made with local seasonal produce throughout the night, and singer-songwriter Katie White will be playing live tunes.

Stargazing experiences start at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm, with the winter feast available from 6pm. The $135 ticket also includes corkage, so you can BYO wine.
