Price: Various

Five venues. Better menus. Bigger savings. Oh, and it lasts a week.

We all have our local favourites. Someone suggests a quick drink and you can get there almost on auto-pilot. In Potts Point, we’re spoiled for choice – and during Broadsheet’s Dine Out festival, things are getting even better with five of our local favourites pulling out all the stops with specials all week.

Here’s what to expect:

Ezra

Ezra knows how to have a good time. Its premium set menu is called “Let’s Party”, and to keep the party alive for Dine Out, the Ezra team is slashing the price in half with a massive 50 per cent discount, which takes the price from $105 to $52.50 per person for groups of six or less people.

The menu includes all of Ezra’s greatest hits, including the hazelnut muhammara with pomegranate, raw fish with buttermilk and beetroot, roast fioretto with toum and crunchy mustard seeds, lamb shoulder, and vanilla cheesecake with caramelised banana.

Just book online and include the code “BROADSHEETDINEOUT” in the booking notes. It's available for any groups of six people or less.

Arms Length

Arms Length already does an impressive happy hour – so it’s stepping things up with a mini meal. From 4pm to 6pm, every day during Dine Out, Arms Length is offering a $15 mini meal deal. It’ll score you a Strawberry Negroni and a lasagne bomb – rich white pork ragu layered between pasta, crumbed and fried. It’s the perfect pairing.

Bar Hernandez

Bar Hernandez is a little slice of Spain in Potts Point, and that’s exactly what’ll be on offer during Dine Out. Anyone ordering a 750ml bottle of Inedit Damm – the beer designed by Spanish chef Ferran Adrià – will get two free Gildas, stacked with olives, anchovies and peppers. It’s perfect to share between two – or to squirrel away all to yourself.

Jude’s

New basement bar Jude's is turning down the price on its signature cocktail, Hey Jude, for Dine Out. The Hey Jude is a hybrid of a Lychee Martini and a Spicy Margarita; it was designed by bartender Danny Renwick. It’ll be $14 all night during Dine Out. The Limoncello Hugo Spritz is also coming down to a cool $14 for the duration of the festival. If you need something salty to go with it, the bar’s olive bowls are just $5.

Piccolo Bar

If you’re leaving the house during winter, you want something rich, salty and moreish. Head to Piccolo Bar any time between 4pm and 6pm during Dine Out and order two 1757 Dirty Truffle Martinis and the team will throw in a plate of prosciutto, pickles and crackers.
