For Broadsheet’s second Dine Out festival, Argentinian steak restaurant Porteño is teaming up with Humble Bakery for a limited-time burger.

Porteño takes steak seriously, and it shows. The South American restaurant serves some of Sydney’s best cuts. Close by, Humble Bakery bakes fresh bread, pastries and sandwiches. They don’t have much in common on the surface, though both are co-owned by husband-and-wife Elvis and Sarah Abrahanowicz. For Dine Out 2026, they're bringing them together and serving a burger.

It’s part of a takeaway menu collaboration between the venues that runs only during Dine Out. Everything is served through Porteño’s Holt Street takeaway window. The hero here is a $28 dry-aged Australian beef burger with house-made pickles, raw and caramelised onion, provolone and mustard on a Humble milk bun (and optional halal-friendly beef bacon). It’s served alongside fries cooked in beef tallow for an extra $10.

For dessert, grab a chocolate and amarena cherry tart with a beef fat crust and whipped cream. It'll cost $16. Porteño may have resisted serving a burger until now, but it’s an irresistible prospect for us. Only available for two days during Dine Out, from 12pm–3pm or until sold out.
