Darkfield: Coma, Eulogy, Séance and Flight
Melbourne-based theatre producer, Realscape Productions, in partnership with British immersive-theatre company Darkfield, has brought us some spine-tingling immersive audio experiences in the past: Séance, which had audience members scrambling to get out halfway through when it first debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; and Flight, a psychological thriller that taps into the fear of being 30,000 feet above the ground and completely powerless.
Both are back in Sydney for a limited time, joined by two brand-new experiences. Coma is a show about what lurks in the recesses of our own minds, while Eulogy explores relative merits of embodied human experience, versus that which exists only in the imagination. The four multi-sensory immersive experiences are popping up at Barangaroo. Pick your poison, but remember, these aren’t for the faint of heart. Each show runs for 25–35 minutes.
