Commune Is Throwing a Huge Block Party
To celebrate its fifth lap around the sun, Commune is putting on a one-day festival. The line-up brings back its best collaborators from over the years to play music; exhibit art; run workshops and maker stalls; and serve street food.
Come and shake your hips with some of Sydney’s brightest musical talent including OKENYO , DJ duo Levins & Franco (Halfway Crooks) and James De La Cruz (ex The Avalanches).
Attend a workshop on how to DJ steered by Heaps Decent (an arts organisation that works with young people and emerging artists from marginalised and disadvantaged communities) or join Groove Therapy and Feras on the dance floor for a hip-hop dance class.
Work from local artists including Jamie Preisz and Otis Carey will also be on show.
The party will take place at Commune's huge warehouse in Waterloo. View the full line-up here.
From12pm to 10pm.
