Cirque du Soleil: Luzia at the Entertainment Quarter
Looking for a mid-week date night idea or family outing this summer? Look no further than Luzia, Cirque du Soleil’s fantastical, Mexican-inspired show filled with high-flying acrobatics and breathtaking visuals.
Its name is a portmanteau of the Spanish words for light (luz) and rain (lluvia) – fittingly, Luzia is a celebration of Mexican culture with the elements at its core. Witness wheel artists spinning and trapeze artists flying through pouring showers, sky-high acrobatics inspired by traditional Mexican clothing, hoop-diving on giant treadmills and surreal imagery throughout the show.
An ode to both classical and contemporary Mexico, Luzia takes audiences through stunning landscapes and architectural wonders, from urban locations like old movie sets to smoke-filled dance halls and expansive, sand-filled landscapes.
Luzia arrives in Sydney on November 24 under the iconic Big Top at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter.
