The views from The Star’s recently opened Chuuka are hard to beat: water lapping beneath your feet as the Harbour Bridge frames the view of boats moored in front of you.
Every Saturday and Sunday during summer, the Asian-fusion waterfront restaurant is transforming into an alfresco day club, with DJ sets and a summery cocktail menu. Sip on $15 Japanese Gin Spritzes and Coconut Rum Highballs, and graze on food from chefs Chase Kojima and Victor Liong. Expect snacks such as fried chicken with sweet and sour yuzu sauce; kakuni (braised) pork bao bun sliders; and fish tartare with plum dressing, macadamia, tomato and potato rice crackers.
