Dine Out: Cantina OK and Herbs Taverne Dual Happy Hour

Hospo group Mucho seems to have the golden touch when it comes to bars. Its neighbouring venues, Cantina OK and Herbs Taverne, are just two of several Mucho venues that contribute significant heft to Sydney’s drinking scene.

Herbs Taverne has a lot of panache for a small, divey bar. Sitting inside, it feels like you’re in a red-lit grotto – disco ball spinning, black-and-red chequerboards on the ceiling and trippy painted mirrors. Meanwhile, there’s something special about Cantina OK. Squeezed into a tiny garage at the end of a laneway, the 20-seat cocktail bar specialises in rare spirits from Mexico.

To celebrate Dine Out, both bars will be offering a happy hour for an entire week. At Cantina OK, you’ll find signature Margaritas for $12. Over at Herbs Taverne, you’ll find $12 Aperol Spritz.

It’s the ideal pre-dinner drink stop. Try one, then wander over to the other. You can also swing by later for a night cap – both bars are open until 2am.
