California Wines Showcase at The Gidley
Food and Drink
Fri Jul 03, 2026 – Sat Aug 01, 2026
The Gidley
California may be famous for a handful of certain wine styles and celebrated regions, but the Golden State’s wine story goes far beyond the classics. To celebrate Fourth of July, The Gidley is turning a month-long spotlight on the breadth of California winemaking, with a limited-time list curated in partnership with California Wines, an industry association that champions the state’s producers.
From July 3 to August 1, the showcase brings together 31 bottles spanning some of California’s best-known and emerging wine regions – from Napa and Sonoma through to Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz. The range runs from sparkling wines and chardonnay to pinot noir, syrah, zinfandel and cabernet sauvignon, with bottles ranging in price and vintage.
A handful of wines are making their Gidley debut, available while allocations last. Among them: DuMOL's 2022 Wild Mountain Side Shiraz, Peay Vineyards’ 2019 Scallop Shelf Pinot Noir, the 2023 Ramey Chardonnay, Robert Mondavi’s 2024 Fume Blanc and the coveted 2019 To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside drops from benchmark producers like Ridge Vineyards.
Keen to sample rather than commit to a bottle? A rotating by-the-glass selection by head sommelier Emma Chappell runs across both the restaurant and lounge, and will shift as wines sell out and new drops arrive.
To celebrate the showcase, The Gidley Lounge is also serving a pastrami beef rib with cabernet glaze and pickled cucumber, which pairs perfectly with Californian cab sav.
