Katsu Sandwich at Butter
Butter executive chef Julian Cincotta is saying goodbye to his fried chicken ramen until the cold weather hits again. To replace it, he and his team are adding a fried chicken katsu sandwich to the menu.
The $13 sando is made with chicken brined and covered in panko breadcrumbs, tonkatsu sauce and cabbage slaw.
Butter also has vegetarians covered with its mushroom katsu sandwich, made with a whole field mushroom patty and the same panko breadcrumb coating.
Both sandwiches will be available at Butter’s Parramatta and Surry Hills stores over summer in limited numbers each day until they sell out.
