The Big Design Market Sydney 2025

More than 230 designers, foodies and creatives are coming together under the Carriageworks roof for one weekend. This year’s Sydney edition of The Big Design Market features 70 new exhibitors, as well as fan-favourite stalls from past events – all focusing on local, independent makers.

Shop for everything from bespoke timber furniture and sculptural ceramics to fashion, jewellery, kids’ toys, tech accessories, books, stationery and art prints. There’ll be Indigenous fashion from KingKing Creative, eyewear from Tribu and Tully Ward, terrariums by Wender Plant Six-Eye Scorpion’s much-loved chilli oil, ceramics by Arcadia Scott, homewares by Green Studio, flora- and fauna-inspired artwork by Moody Rabbit and much more.

A few Melbourne food favourites are also making the journey up, including natural ice-cream shop Billy Van Creamy, Wonder Pies, Ugo Burrata Bar, and Cannoleria.

Sydney locals will be familiar with offerings from Bar Pho, Shortstop Donuts, and Brooklyn Boy Bagels. Coeliacs rejoice! Wholegreen Bakery will also be serving up gluten-free goodies all weekend long. Plus, enjoy drinks from Pizzini Wines, Ester Spirits, Yulli’s Brews and more.

Looking for Friday night knock-off drinks? Swing by between 4pm–6pm for a free glass of Brachetto from Pizzini Wines.

There’ll be also a special botanical-inspired installation by this year’s guest artist Emma Morgan, as well as a dedicated kids area where little ones can get creative.

Carriageworks is fully wheelchair accessible, and this year’s event will be card-only. Buy tickets beforehand online or at the door on the day.
