Betty's Burgers is branching out from its burger-centric menu this Thursday – although it isn't straying too far from its comfort zone. The latest menu item to be launched by the burgeoning groups is a steak sandwich similar to a Philly cheesesteak, which uses shavings of beef rather than whole steaks. It's opted to use Wagyu, and added in cheese, oak lettuce, onions, pickles and a house-made sauce that's a mix of onion relish and Siracha mayo. It's $16 for one, or you can make an evening of it.
For $55, the "steak night" deal gets you two steak sandwiches, a generous helping of fries and a bottle of 1859 Saltram Shiraz (we did the maths, that's a saving of $14). The pick-up only deal means you can have a semi-classy evening at home – and is available at every Betty's Burgers outlet in Australia, but for a short-time only.
