The Old Fitz went full Spanish last weekend, morphing into its Iberian alter ego, Bar Bodega Fitz, for three days only. But it was so popular, the team has decided to bring it back every Friday to Saturday until lockdown ends.
The pop-up tapas and aperitivo bar will lean into the Spanish touches usually found on the pub's menu with an assortment of takeaway dishes by head chef Anna Ugarte-Carral.
Swing by for tapas such as salt-cod fritters with sherry vinegar mayonnaise, charred octopus and pickled chilli, garlic prawns a la plancha, manchego croquettes, and more. There are also giant char-grilled steaks and Basque burnt cheesecakes. Plus, the booze menu is turning Spanish too: vermouth on ice with olive and orange, sangria, Basque apple cider, and Spanish wines.
Order online, pick up your tapas and drinks, find a sliver of sunshine in your house, then close your eyes and pretend you're in Seville.
