From February 6, the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW) will be exhibiting Art Express, a collection of works created by the state's visual-arts students for their HSC. It's one of the gallery's most innovative – and trafficked – exhibitions.
It allows the next generation of artists – from across Sydney and regional NSW, and from a mix of private and government schools – into the public arena.
Their artworks traverse multiple disciplines, including sculpture, drawings, paintings, textiles, graphic design and photography. And many address issues directly relevant to their young creators, such as the state of our environment, personal identity, human emotion and the politics of our time.
From 10am to 5pm daily.
