Last July concert pianist Van-Anh Nguyen and The Blue Door chef Dylan Cashman were missing trips to the Mediterranean, so they partnered with Italian winemaker Sensi Vini to bring A Night in Quarantino to people's doors.
Now they've done it again, but this time with music, wines and food from across the globe. It's an extension of Nguyen's Perfect Pairings, a concert concept that pairs music to wine.
There are different ticket options available, ranging from $30 for just the concert ticket to a $170 first-class package for the show; five 65-millilitre jars of wine (from South Africa, France, Argentina, Chile and Italy); a bottle of champagne; a bouquet from The Flower Wonderer; and a two-course meal from The Blue Door. Other options include the same set but without the flowers; the concert and just wine; or the concert and just food.
Cashman is putting together a jar of house-made chicken liver with strawberry and apple cider gel, bread, and pickles along with a North African-style stew of lamb shoulder and freekeh with an apple, fennel and feta salad. The vegetarian option includes handmade ricotta with bread and pickles alongside a whole roasted cauliflower with the same salad.
Order by Wednesday August 25 at 7pm for food and wine delivery across Greater Sydney.
