All-You-Can-Eat Dumplings at Wild Life Sydney Zoo
There’s a whole host of spots in Sydney where you can get all-you-can-eat dumplings these days. But as far as we know, there's only one place you can eat unlimited dumplings and hang out with koalas and crocodiles: Wild Life Sydney Zoo.
Over the Lunar New Year period, the Darling Harbour zoo has converted its koala rooftop and croc deck into Chinese dumpling houses. It’s enlisted dumpling-monger New Shanghai for the second year in a row to whip up batches of xiao long bao, spring rolls, wontons, rice noodles and more for guests to eat as they gaze out at the furry and fierce creatures. Drinks are bottomless too, and include wines, beers, soft drinks and juice.
Before or after a half-hour dumpling-smashing session, guests will get exclusive after-hours access to the zoo, with the chance to get up close to not only koalas, but also kangaroos, wombats, platypuses and crocs.
There are three 30-minute dumpling sessions each night, with times depending on the date. Guests are free to roam the zoo until 9pm.
