Rescheduled: 24-Hour Party

Sat 3rd July, 2021 – Sun 4th July, 2021
Multiple locations
Price: Free
Party from 8am 'til 8am. There’ll be more than 88 DJs and musos – including Hayley Mary (Jezabels) and Megafauna – across 20 stages and 12 venues.

Update (June 3): This event was changed to reflect a new date and lineup.

After a year of social distancing and seated fun – all of which came not long after the city finally repealed most of its lockout laws – Sydney’s finally making the most of relaxed restrictions, stand-up drinking and the return of dance floors. Likewise, hospo group Solotel is going all in, throwing a free 24-hour party across 12 of its buzziest venues.

In collaboration with party and club-night organisers Motorik, Heaps Gay, Picnic, Fruit Bowl and FBi Radio, Solotel is splashing out on more than 80 performers across 17 stages in 11 venues: Kings Cross Hotel, The Marly, The Bank, Goros, The Golden Sheaf, The Albion, Barangaroo House, The Erko, Public House Petersham, The Sackville Rozelle, Darlo Bar and The Clock.

The group is focusing on local talent and female artists across a range of genres. Expect performances from singer-songwriter and Jezabels lead vocalist Hayley Mary, alt-pop muso Banoffee, a DJ set from Lime Cordiale, Sydney band I Know Leopard and more.

Set times are yet to be released, and each venue will have its own opening hours. But to help you begin planning, Barangaroo House will be hosting house music from midday through to midnight; Goros’s dance floor will heave to the sounds of house, techno and hip-hop; Kings Cross Hotel will be the go-to destination for anyone who’s in it for the long haul, (it will have a dance floor going from 3pm to 3.30am); and Tokyo Sing Song in The Marly’s basement will keep kicking till 8am. Meanwhile, Public House Petersham will be throwing a car park party, DJ Levins will keep the good times coming at The Erko and Golden Sheaf will be starting the day with an 8am Retrosweat class.

Tickets aren’t required for any of the parties – it’s first in, best dressed (but, there is a door charge to enter The Club at The Albion).

The 24-Hour Party runs from 8am on Saturday July 3 to 8am on Sunday July 4. Entry to all venues if free.
