2017 NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellowship Exhibition

Wed 8th November, 2017 – Sat 9th December, 2017
Art Space
43–51 Cowper Wharf Road, Woolloomooloo
A collection of alien landscape prints.

This 100-year-old fellowship spotlights emerging contemporary artists in NSW. Approaching its 21st year at Artspace, the exhibition continues to define the beginning of many great artists' careers. This year's winner is Claudia Nicholson.

This exhibition presents the work of a stable of talent. But one Sydney-based photographer in particular has caught our eye.

After spending time with astrophysicists at the University of Idaho, Ashleigh Garwood's collection of prints will be displayed from November 9.

Garwood uses both darkroom and digital photography techniques to suspend landscapes in time. The result is a set of chilling and alienating scenes that will stay with you.
