Tame Impala won its first BRIT Award for its critically acclaimed record, Currents, today. Frontman Kevin Parker spoke to DIY after the win. He thanked his record label for helping the band to achieve the explosive success it has experienced over the past year.

Prior to Currents, Tame Impala played sold-out shows in New York, London and Bueos Aires, playing tracks from its first two albums, both odes to isolation and heartbreak, Innerspeaker (2010) and Lonerism (2012).
