In conjunction with Sydney Festival, St John's College in Camperdown will again host So Frenchy So Chic In The Park in 2015.

For its second year in Sydney, the family friendly festival will run on Saturday January 17 with an inspired line-up of French artists, gourmet food hampers and flowing champagne.

The music line-up features electronic composer and singer Émilie Simon, French-Finnish electro folk duo, The Dø and pop-punk band La Femme. Also gracing the stage will be French-British pop group Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains, which has recently supported Franz Ferdinand.

Gourmet picnic hampers and curated picnic boxes will be filled with baguettes, Provençal pork belly and deserts, or you can create your own menu from stalls serving oysters, crêpes, macarons and other French fare.

Kids are also welcome and will be entertained with face painting and puppet shows (if they’re under 12, they get in free). If you need an excuse to spend a day sprawled on a picnic rug in the sun with a glass of sparkling, then a better one you will not find.
